At the beginning my feelings were different because the crime was so dreadful and it made me so angry but at the end the killer just fades away into oblivion like a complete nonentity. It is the story of a teenage girl who, after being raped and murdered, watches from her personal heaven as her family and friends struggle to move on with their lives while she comes to terms with her own death. It just seemed that the author floundered around talking about nothing the whole book.

The icicle scene was simply stating that in the end, everyone gets what they deserve, weather it be good or bad. More than anything, susie wishes that she had been able to see the woman that she would have grown in to and grieves for the future that she lost. Harvey is interrupted from pursuing his latest teen victim, and plummeted to his death by, of all things, a falling icicle.

Mr harvey got what he deserved and the movie portrayed it perfectly, it gave me chills! I so wanted closure for the family. Reading it is a gift!

Lindsey faints and in the commotion, harvey slips away. And i loved that the ending was the same as the book. Susie finally enters heaven, telling the audience:
