At this price, i’d recommend trying it at a bar first. On the palate, it keeps that sweet tone, but thankfully some earthiness shows to offset the sweetness and adds a nice balance and complexity to it. I am glad i tried it, but i wouldn’t buy a bottle.
They are, of course, cask strength, yet each annual release is unique. And if you pressed me about it, i’d say that it still is. Out of the gate, chapter 4’s blend of three different mashbill whiskeys (one of which is a brown rice bourbon) is special for beam.
